Every lesson is live, online and one-to-one, so it works the same way in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or any other emirate. Your child learns with a tutor for their exact curriculum and syllabus (Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel or IB), at times you book in the MyAPEX app. Every lesson is recorded, so your child can come back and review it. Recordings are kept for 12 months.
Apex is a tutoring service, not a school or a route to a certificate: your child stays at their school, and we tutor the curriculum it teaches.

It follows your child’s year. On Apex’s 2027 rate card, a single 60-minute online session for Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel is $40 from Year 2 to Year 9, $45 for IGCSE and International GCSE in Years 10 and 11, and $50 for AS and A Level in Years 12 and 13. In an IB school it is $50 for the PYP in Grades 1 to 5, $55 for the MYP in Grades 6 to 10 and $60 for the Diploma.

Key Stage 4. KHDA: in UK-curriculum schools, “External exams are usually taken at the end of Year 11.”
KHDA calls Grades 10 to 12 “qualification years”. In IB schools this is the final MYP year, with the personal project.

UAE private schools teach many curricula, including British, IB, American, French and Indian syllabuses as well as the Ministry of Education’s own. In Dubai the UK curriculum is the most popular: 37% of private-school students followed it in 2024-25, with 7% on the IB and 4% on a UK/IB mix. Apex tutors three international curricula online: Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and the IB.
Cambridge IGCSE offers over 70 subjects for ages 14 to 16 (schools in zone 3 may choose 9 to 1 grading). AS & A Levels follow from 16. Apex tutors each subject to its syllabus code, such as 0580 for IGCSE Mathematics.
The International GCSE is for ages 14 to 16, with exams in May–June and November. International AS and A Levels are modular, so students sit unit exams across the year.
The IB runs from age 3 to 19. KHDA’s parent guide places the PYP in Grades 1 to 5 and the MYP in Grades 6 to 10, then the two-year Diploma: six subjects plus the core.
Whatever the curriculum, UAE private schools must also teach Islamic education, social studies and Arabic. In Dubai, under KHDA rules since 2025-26, non-Arab students take Arabic from Grade 1/Year 2 to Grade 9/Year 10. Of these school subjects, Apex tutors only Arabic, as extra support.

Apex tutors Mathematics, English, the sciences, computer science and ICT, business subjects, and French and Arabic, across Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and the IB. On 20 October 2026, MyAPEX listed 328 online Cambridge tutors, 113 Pearson Edexcel tutors and 61 IB tutors, and Mathematics had the most tutors in every curriculum.

The most-tutored subject on MyAPEX in all three curricula.

Each taught to your child’s own syllabus and exam board.

Language in all three curricula; Literature with Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel.

Taught to the exam board your child is entered for.

Business Studies, Economics and Accounting, each taught to your child’s school syllabus.

Both as extra support. Arabic tutoring sits alongside your child’s school Arabic and does not replace it.

The Ministry of Education’s 2026–27 calendar runs from 31 August 2026 to 2 July 2027, with winter break from 14 December and spring break from 5 April. Dubai’s September-start private schools follow the same dates. Lessons fit around your school’s own calendar, and UAE time stays 4 hours ahead of GMT all year, because the UAE does not change its clocks.
Three terms and 185 school days on the Ministry calendar. In Dubai, KHDA marks the October mid-term “for MOE Private Schools only”.

One session, or a monthly package of 4 to 48. Advanced, 12 a month, is the most popular.

No. Every Apex lesson is live and online, one tutor with one child, so there are no home visits and lessons work the same way wherever in the UAE you live. Every lesson is also recorded, so your child can rewatch an explanation before a test. Recordings are kept for 12 months.
Prices are listed in US dollars, per 60-minute online session. On Apex’s 2027 rate card, a single session starts at $40 for Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel primary and lower secondary, and at $50 for the IB Primary Years Programme. Monthly packages lower the price per session. If you would like to talk a package through, message Apex on WhatsApp.
Yes. You choose lesson times that suit your family’s week, and the same tutor teaches each session. UAE time is 4 hours ahead of GMT and the UAE does not change its clocks for summer, so your side of the timetable stays simple all year.
Grade 9. The equivalence table from KHDA, Dubai’s private-school regulator, lines up UK Year 10, UAE Grade 9 and IB MYP Year 4 at age 14, and Abu Dhabi’s ADEK pairs them the same way. In British-curriculum schools, Year 10 starts Key Stage 4, the two-year course to GCSE or IGCSE exams, which KHDA says are usually taken at the end of Year 11.
Yes, and the IB as well. They are separate qualifications from separate boards. Cambridge IGCSE is graded A* to G (only schools in Cambridge’s zone 3, which includes the UK, may choose 9 to 1), while the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE is graded 9 to 1 in every subject. Tell us your child’s board and syllabus code when you book.
Yes. Lessons are online, so families in every emirate book the same way. Private schools are overseen emirate by emirate: KHDA in Dubai, ADEK in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the Department of Knowledge in Ras Al Khaimah, and the Ministry of Education in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah, so school rules and calendars can differ.
Yes, as extra support. On 20 October 2026 MyAPEX listed online Arabic tutors for Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and IB students. UAE private schools must also teach Arabic, and in Dubai, KHDA’s 2025-26 guide does not accept foreign first-language syllabuses, such as UK, US or IB, in place of the UAE national curriculum for Arabic as a first language. Apex lessons support your child’s school Arabic and never replace it.
